Laser Mole Removal Cosmedix Clinic Parramatta Sydney
Posted by Robert Fam (BMSci - APAA Member - Cosmetic & Laser Specialist)

So many people don't know it but moles that seem unsightly and that are not potentially cancerous can be easily removed with some of today's latest technologies, far from the standard approach of using a surgical knife.

Moles come in many shapes and sizes anywhere on the body and while they are usually a form of birthmark or sun induced lesions they are usually harmless too. However, these spotted marks and raised lumps on the skin can throw off a person’s facial complexion or aesthetic look of their chest, neck & back.

In the past and still practised today (at the request of clients), medical practitioners removed moles surgically which require stitches or by cryotherapy - a form of nitrogen freezing while not focusing on the integrity of skin appearance and usually leading to some form of scarring. A highly unfavourable outcome many have come to know as the norm in mole removal. Unless the lesion is pre-cancerous or malignant, yes surgical intervention is required. However, there are much more effective and highly precise techniques that provides normal skin texture outcomes without the need for stitches.

We all say that we live in the future and that the turn of the century has brought many advancements for mankind, and while this is true, many simply don't know about these advancements. One such technology is Dermatological Lasers, these have come a long way in the last few years and provide pin point accuracy in stimulating skin for anti-ageing effects, removing tattoo pigments and even clearing freckles and acne but one area where people are not so familiar about is complete removal of moles and similar type lesions. Lasers used for mole removal are highly energised, usually CO2 or Erbium type lasers, to ablate (vaporise) skin tissue, removing moles in a few seconds of the procedure.

While each type of mole needs to be assessed accurately for potential cancerous characteristics and appropriate procedure selection for successful removal, procedures are simple and quick. Multiple moles can be removed in one session and minimal discomfort is associated with the treatment as topical or local anaesthetics is usually provided. The key to skin recovery and successful outcome however, is the after care of skin to ensure repair & healing is maximised for normalised skin re-texturing to the area, visibly diverging any signs of the treated mole. This can differ from person to person and the type of mole but in the majority of cases, successful treatment is followed by an unrecognisable integrity of the treated skin compared with the surrounding area.

Another two approaches that are exclusively used at Cosmedix Clinics is advanced Plasma ablation and Mid-Infrared Laser Ablation. These techniques are rarely used in the dermal cosmetic industry but are highly specialised procedures for even further accuracy and successful removal of both deep seated moles and small superficial moles. This fills the gap with minor shortcomings of commonly used CO2 and Erbium Lasers, as the laser beam can be too damaging for very small lesions while it can also be too aggressive for deep seated moles either rendering un-successful removal in the first attempt or excessive skin loss that does not resolve during healing.

Natural home remedies to spread onto your yard and in molehills include using castor oil, cayenne pepper, garlic, and red pepper — or plant flowers like daffodils and marigolds, which are natural mole deterrents. If this method doesn't work then go to the clinical treatment first you can use natural methods, so if you want to get mole removal treatment in Dubai then get a consultation with professional dermatologist.
